Simple Autonomous Rover with Obstacle Detection Using Affordable Components This DIY project features a 3D printed rover equipped with autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance capabilities. The system relies on the following essential components: Two SG90 servo motors One Arduino UNO R3 microcontroller board One LS53L0X infrared laser sensor board A single 9V battery to power the entire setup Four LEGO wheels (6579/6580) for smooth movement To achieve a full 360° rotation, one servo motor requires customization. A step-by-step guide on how to modify the servo can be found in the following tutorials: YouTube: SG90 Servo Continuous Rotation Modification (XUm2nj7te8E) Carnet du Maker: DIY Continuous Rotation Servo Motor (Bricoler-un-servomoteur-rotation-continue) The Arduino code for this project is attached to this document. For optimal performance, the motor PWM is connected to digital pin 9 on the Arduino board, while the direction servo PWM is connected to digital pin 10. The LS53L0X infrared laser sensor board is linked to digital pin 2. Watch a demonstration of this project in action: YouTube (pIkAGy5rM4U)
