Automotive Internal Protrusion Check Gauge (ECER21)
thingiverse
Here is a light weight protrusion height gauge for benchmarking needs. This gauge features a Ø165 ball head paired with a Ø50 cylinder, designed to measure protrusion height as per ECER21 standards. With this gauge, you can accurately determine protrusion height. For instance, if the protrusion measures 3.2mm, the half core ruler will sit flush against the bottom surface, marked with a corresponding "3.2" label. Similarly, when the protrusion reaches 9.5mm, the "9.5" mark on the half core ruler will align perfectly with the bottom surface. To assemble this gauge, start by gluing the two half core rulers together using filament segments as pins for added stability. Next, cut a piece of silicone rubber to fit snugly within the Ø50 cylinder's three slots, creating a smooth friction interface. Finally, insert the assembled core ruler into the hole and secure it in place.
