Automaton: Early Bird Catches the Worm

Crafted from a blend of wood and 3D printed materials, this automaton illustrates the proverb "Early bird catches the worm." Upon spinning the gears, red cams, representing worms, rise and fall at distinct intervals while the bird rotates in circles. I personally designed all components, with the exception of an O-ring, an 82-degree countersunk Phillips screw, wood parts (the box, shafts, and gear base supports), and a ball bearing.
