Automatically closing lid / Dispenser

Update your empty jars and let them be dispensers instead with this automatically closing lid. Works great with empty pickle jars.

Since this design can be mounted on different kind of jars/lids, you need some additional parts:

A ballpen spring

Two M3 screws with locknuts

A Dremel or something to drill holes and cut the opening

After printing and prepairing the lid, insert the spring, gently press the parts against each other and insert the center screw. If the spring blocks the parts from sliding into each other, give that lever a wiggle! Tighten the center screw until you get a slight pressfit, then unscrew it again by around a quarter or half a turn. The parts should still be able to move.

The project is fun to build, it's fun to let the finished piece snap open and close and it's fun to use.

Best to use for dry incredience like lentils or rice.
Sources: https://a360.co/2MCxgza; https://a360.co/3r0mxxt

Print instructions

Printed with 0.15mm layer height on a Prusa mini using the textured sheet and Prusament PETG
