Automatic Voice Activated Door With Google Home
myminifactory
I designed a set of models that I printed to create an automatic door opener system controlled by Google Home commands. The code and instructions came from this Instructables guide: https://www.instructables.com/id/Control-Your-Projects-With-Google-Assistant-and-Ad/. Credit goes to the creators for their work. I adapted the code and connected it to a L298N motor driver, which powered an old drill motor with a chuck attachment. A string or wire looped around the mount, up to the pulleys, secured to the wall using hot glue and bearings in the pulleys. Press-fit into the wall mounts, they held everything in place. Note: Depending on where you attach the pulleys, additional angled pieces might be necessary between the wall mount and the actual wall. For example, look at the top middle red pulley, which is approximately 30 degrees from the wall.
