Automatic Tea Timer

This gadget is a simple tool designed to make preparing teas and infusions easier. All you have to do is place the tea bag or infuser and the cup with hot water on it and choose the desired steeping time. The Tea Timer will then automatically infuse the tea for that selected amount of time, notifying you when your drink is ready with a beep. You can also see it in action at https://youtu.be/dda5ccRVNXM. Printed parts were created using FreeCAD, with the original parametric files supplied alongside the generated STL files. A version of the Tea Timer's main part without any support was created, as well as a version that includes the minimal amount of supports necessary (the printer used will ultimately decide this).
