Automatic sortable 4 connect (4 in a row) Game
thingiverse
# Update 2019-04-27 - The puller is now designed to be stronger and can be printed on the side with a corrected STL file for proper printing rotation. # Info The classic game where two players compete to be the first to get four colors in a row, featuring automatic sorting after the game has been played. Infill is set at 20% for all parts unless otherwise specified. Total time required for printing: ***46.4 hours*** which might seem excessive, but the fun this game provides is well worth it! (It was indeed a blast to create, requiring about 68 versions and numerous test prints.) All parts are correctly rotated according to their STL files. A short video demo can be viewed at https://youtu.be/D-sXhKrHWIA After printing, some supports need to be carefully removed. The holes in the HolderTop must be cleared with a 7.5mm drill (at least for my printer settings). Fine sandpapering is recommended on the cylinder parts of SliderFront so they move smoothly within the HolderTop. Sandpaper the bottom of the HolderTop as well, to prevent any rough edges from hindering the Rotator's rotation. The discs may also require some work to remove defects (at least for my printer settings) and improve their rolling capability. Note that they need supports to be printed for optimal roundness, and the one with internal supports is easiest removed if you have a small screwdriver and hammer it down into the support material so it cracks, then it can easily be pulled away. *** # Required Print Jobs ### DiscA_22x_v34.stl One print job at 0.2mm height and 0.4mm width with supports required, approximately ***3h41min*** ### DiscB_22x_v34.stl One print job at 0.2mm height and 0.4mm width with supports required, approximately ***2h58min*** ### HolderBasin_1x_v68.stl Two print jobs at 0.2mm height and 0.4mm width, each approximately ***6h23min*** ### HolderBottom_1x_v66.stl One print job at 0.3mm height and 0.4mm width, approximately ***3h35min*** ### HolderTop_1x_v67.stl One print job at 0.2mm height and 0.4mm width with supports required, approximately ***6h32min*** ### Puller_1x_v58.stl Two print jobs at 0.2mm height and 0.4mm width with 100% infill, each approximately ***51min*** ### Rotator_7x_v58.stl One print job at 0.2mm height and 0.4mm width with 100% infill, approximately ***1h39min*** ### SliderBack_7x_v34.stl One print job at 0.2mm height and 0.4mm width with supports required, approximately ***8h16min*** ### SliderFront_7x_v34.stl One print job at 0.2mm height and 0.4mm width, approximately ***5h13min***
