Automatic pet feeder powered by an ESP8266 and a servo
thingiverse
This is a DIY pet feeder powered by an ESP8266 microcontroller and a sturdy servo motor. The device seamlessly integrates with any WiFi network, allowing users to control it remotely using the Blynk app from anywhere in the world. As I'm a proud cat owner who has my feline friend living outdoors, I required a solution that's both durable and tamper-proof. To achieve this, I designed the feeder with a user-friendly "pedal" button for dispensing food. My goal was to teach my cat how to use it independently; unfortunately, she didn't quite grasp the concept. In addition to its primary function, this device also functions as a compact weather station. By incorporating a DHT22 temperature sensor, I can track and display real-time temperature readings within the Blynk app. While the electronics are currently exposed behind the feeder, I plan to enclose them soon using 3D printing. The base has yet to be printed, but users can try printing their own custom bowl design if they wish.
