The function of this drinking fountain is to be self-filling when the water level drops, that is why a water bottle is placed as a dispenser. It has no thread but it was designed with just the right size to put a conventional size coke lid. I recommend using hard, thick bottles such as returnable ones. I took the name toulousse because it is my pet's name.
