This is a sleek and user-friendly automatic door closing system perfect for indoor doors. The design focuses on smoothness and subtlety, ensuring that you barely notice its presence while the doors remain closed at all times. I've been utilizing this system on 4 doors in my home for several weeks now, and it's performing flawlessly, resulting in significant savings on heating costs. This innovative design draws inspiration from Lippifuss, with a simpler approach that incorporates two 608 bearings to enhance smoothness. To build this system, you'll need: * Two 608ZZ bearings, preferably closed ones (I recommend using https://www.123-3d.nl/123-3D-Kogellager-608ZZ-DME00003-i20-t13131.html) * Two sets of printed pulleys (lid + pulley + axis stl files) * A ballast tube (use either the provided ballast.stl file or a white 16 mm electric wiring tube) * Fish wire or rope * Screws * Lead for your ballast tube (I used http://www.ballast-producten.nl/producten/ballast-lood/loodhagel/, but you can also use sand if needed) Before assembly, make sure to clean and lubricate the hinges, disable the door handle, and consider incorporating cats into your design (if desired). To assemble the system, press-fit the axis into the 608 bearing, which should then fit snugly into the pulley. You may need to apply some pressure during this process. The lid is optional but adds a touch of elegance.
