Automatic Chicken Door Opener Eglu Cube

I reside in Minnesota, where I recently purchased the eglu cube. Unfortunately, the automatic door add-on wasn't available yet, so I opted for an alternative solution from Hentronix. Although pricey, it functioned reasonably well initially but failed to withstand subzero temperatures, causing the battery to malfunction and the gear to slip out of place. As a software developer, I realized that designing a door opener based on light levels wouldn't be overly complicated. This sparked an idea within me, and after two weeks of development, I successfully created Version 1 of a DIY automatic chicken coop door opener, which is now open-source for public use. This project can easily be adapted to accommodate various types of doors or sliding panels with minor adjustments. The system is programmed to close the door at approximately 19 lux and open it at 50 lux. The code for this project is available on GitHub: https://github.com/blake-haas/ArduinoChickenDoor
