Automated door opener

Automated door opener

thingiverse

This printable automated door opener works for our chicken coop, featuring a light sensor for automatic operation. Alternatively, it can be used with a temperature sensor in greenhouses. The device utilizes a NEMA 17 stepper motor and an M8 threaded rod to open doors or windows. It runs on a Wattduino from Watterott.com and has four buttons (Power on/off, door open, door close, automatic mode) and two LEDs (Power on/off, Debug). In automatic mode, the door closes at night and opens when the sun rises, detecting light intensity with a standard light-dependent resistor and endstop button. The Arduino code is included in the .zip file, with a full PDF documentation under development.
