A simple drone concept that helped me test propeller animations is based on the Syndrome Velocipods from the Incredibles movie, Vulture Droids from the Star Wars franchise, and the contra-rotating propellers of Tupolev Tu-95 airplanes. Inspired by early experiments for VTOL propeller craft, this design could potentially fly in real life. However, designing a way to keep the rotating ring section attached to the main saucer frame would likely be too challenging or impossible on its own. One possible solution is to attach another rotating ring to the main saucer or use some type of magnets to secure it. I created the model and assembled the textures using Blender 2.9.1.2, featuring solid colors and a 2048x2048 normal map. The model and animations were then imported into Unreal Engine 4.2.6 for testing and demonstration purposes. This design may be used in a video game I've been working on, although the Unreal Engine model is not included with the files uploaded here.
