A Small Base for Making Miniature Automata Out of Paper - A Starting Point for Creativity - A Quick Print and an Easy Project. During This Month of Makevember, I Saw the Excellent Automata Made by WolfCatWorkshop out of Scrap Wood, Paperclips, and Paper. I Decided to Try to Make a Simple Base for Making My Own Automata in a Similar Fashion. Additional Things You Will Need: * A 1.5cm Wide Strip of Paper (the Model Has a 1.5cm Slot to Hold the Paper) * Scissors to Cut the Paper * A Paperclip * A Pair of Pliers to Bend the Paperclip Instructions: * Cut the Paper into a Shape You'd Like to Animate * Bend the Paperclip into a Shape that Allows the Animation You'd Like * Insert the Bent Paperclip into the Model (Long End, Then Short End) * Bend the 'Crank' into the Paperclip * Connect the Paper to the Crank, Either Directly or Through Paper Linkages (In This One, I Connected It Directly with Glue) * Turn the Crank and Enjoy Your Automata! These Are Small and Easy to Print - It Would Be a Fun Group Art Activity!
