Autolevel with Inductive Sensor P3 Steel
thingiverse
Autoleveling is effortless with an inductive sensor (LJ8A3-2-Z/BX-5V diameter 8 mm). The LJ8A3-2-Z/BX-5V requires a metal surface at exactly two millimeters distance, so I replaced the standard glass printer bed (four millimeters) with a custom-made aluminum plate that is three millimeters thick. This sensor is NPN NO, which means it functions perfectly with five volts without needing any additional resistor or divider. I connected the wires directly to the z-axis endstop pins of the ramps board, using brown for pin one, blue for pin two, and black for pin three.
