Autolevel Probe Mount - Printrbot Simple 2014 / Makers - improve

Improved Z probe mount for extruder carriage attaches via hex screws underneath and extending tie wrap location on platform corner. Holds 12mm induction proximity probe, plus new version for 18mm probe. Mount provides hole to add tiny wood screw for extra firmness. Don't tighten hex screws until fully engaged to extruder plate. Screw holes are slotted for this purpose. Use small screw on edge or mount will split. VERY IMPORTANT - use toothed washer inside underside nut to prevent probe swiveling and nut sliding off during print. Successfully deployed on 2014 Simple w/LCD using printrbot probe and marlin inductive firmware. M212 values set at X0 Y0 Z-0.9. X and Y must be zero or "Probe off Bed" error occurs. Z may vary, with my probe sitting about 2mm above extruder nozzle for good results. Update - Stick with V2 firmware or Non-LCD firmware. To use V3 firmware (needed for LCD), add y limit stop switch on opposite side of y carriage to prevent extruder head grinding into body and messing up settings. For repetier gcode settings, add G29 command after G28 command in code header. Note - You may home all values before G29 autolevel with regular G28, but be careful not to leave probe off bed. Use "G28 X0 Y0" until probe is within range to prevent damage. UPDATE: Added 18mm probe version on request, but exercise caution as it may ram into bed screws. Let me know if you try it and your results. Instructions - Print as oriented in new STL file with all layers at .33 with supports. Tweak Overhang threshold value to something small (10° worked for me) so support only prints for undercarriage mount arm. Use raft if needed, but didn't have to. Note - Replace existing tie-wrap before cutting off old one. Sample printed with Simple Metal is shown in photo.
