I wanted to 3D print a 3D scanner but most of the ones on here are 20+ pieces and it's manually cranked. I decided to use some electronics and design my own. THIS IS A VERY ROUGH DRAFT BUT IT WORKS FOR MY OWN USE. I WILL PROBABLY IMPROVE ON IT MUCH LATER AS TIME PERMITS. Code: The code is a simple one I got online since all I needed was the step motor to run in a slow constant motion and I have not worked with step motors previously. There are several other ways to do this and I may code it later to be activated via IR remote. That code is also attached. NOTE: You can increase and reduce the speed it spends by editing the time_delay variable I added. The higher the delay the slow. Currently set to 10. As for assembly, they all fit nicely in the slots but I use velcro to keep the Arduino in place and I scaled down a 3d printed bolts with a chunk cut out across the head to use with a flathead into pre-drilled holes for the ULN2003. I did not include that file since it would be best to use small screws but I had none around. NOTE: If the wires are not tightly and neatly wrapped up then the top case may not go all the way down. I plan to improve that later on unless someone remixes it but this was just for personal use, to be honest, and figured someone else may want something like this and not want to print 30 pieces. Electronics: Arduino UNO ULN2003 28BYJ-48 stepper motor Jumper wires (Use small length ones) breadboard (33.80 by 44.33mm) 15% infill for me 1.8 wall height.
