Auto Setting Jig Pole Tip-Up

This contraption is specifically designed for ice fishing purposes. The assembly process involves utilizing a 1 1/2" X 24" PVC tubing, which serves as the foundation for the 'Reel Seat.' This seat is adjustable in length, allowing users to customize their setup according to their needs. In addition to the PVC tubing, I incorporated bamboo skewers into the trigger mechanism, though alternative methods could also be employed. To activate the device, simply attach a jig pole with bait and lower it to the desired depth. Next, place the reel within the 'Reel Seat,' insert the pin into the end eye guide, and carefully drape the line over the end of the trigger. Further refinements are anticipated in the near future, but this setup should suffice for now. I plan on testing the mechanism next week and will provide an update with accompanying images. If you're interested in building a similar device, please share your experiences and any notable catches you may have made using this method. Good luck with your endeavors!
