<p>This very handy carabiner allows you to lower something down on a rope, have it automatically release when the item is on the ground, then retrieve your rope & carabiner. </p><p>This is a 3D printed version of the original metal item published in Instructables: <a href="https://www.instructables.com/Gear-Harness-Carabiner-Auto-Release/">https://www.instructables.com/Gear-Harness-Carabiner-Auto-Release/</a> by Mrballeng. Instruction on how to use it are in that Instructable. </p><p>I have left off the clip, since this can only be used for relatively lightweight items, and seems to work well without it. </p>
