Auto Marble Machine
cults3d
Remake of the 3D Printed Marble Machine #2 - Designed by Tulio Laanen Including a Small Stepper Motor for Continuous Operation. A New Base Is Added to House the Motor, Lights, and Electronics. A Small Drawer Was Also Added to Store Metal Balls When Not in Use, Replacing the Turning Blade with a New Cap. The Lift Was Modified to Fit the Motor and Cap, Ensuring Smooth Operation. The Original Design's Track Remained Unchanged, However, It Requires Manual Modification to Accommodate the Motor and Lights. This Involves Drilling a 9.5mm Hole Through the Base in the Center of the Lift Housing to Fit the Motor and Several 5mm Holes for the LED's. A Small and Affordable Step Motor (28BYJ-48) Was Used, Fixed Securely with Super-Glue to the Track Base. The Electronics Are Simplified: A PIC 16F628A Microcontroller Generates Four Channels of Sequenced Pulses to Drive the ULN2003 Motor Driver and Powers Separate Systems with a 7.5V 300mA Power Source.
