Auto level Cyclops effector
thingiverse
So i had a Micromake Kossel that needed a Z probe for the E3D Cyclops and I was out of options. I tried using an inductive probe, but the readings were way off due to being so far from the hot end (Y -30mm) and effector tilt. I needed something more reliable and flexible, so I designed this. This uses a modified Micromake V3 effector with added clearance. Now you can use your E3D Cyclops nozzle as a Z-probe. Setup is similar to the original effector setup on my Micromake: just plug it in and go. That means adjusting the Z probe offset in firmware will be a positive number. My initial value was 0.68, but it's entirely dependent on how much I turn the adjustment screw. Adjust the Z-probe offset value by increments of .1 or try different values if you know your print setting: `X=0 Y=0 Z=.60` To dial in perfect first layer Z-probe, start with 0.6 and do test prints to see what you get: + Grinding - raise probe offset .1. + Inability to stick (peels from bed) - lower value .05 Printer: z610 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 30
