Australopithecus robustus \nLocation: Swartkrans, South Africa.\nAge: Dating back to around 2.0-1.5 million years ago.\nMaterial: A detailed epoxy resin cast.\nDimensions: Measuring 47 mm in length, 166 mm in width, and 169 mm in height.\nNotes: RLA catalog no. 2501.1rp53 (cast). In 1950, Robert Broom and John T. Robinson reported on partial innominate SK50. The fossil is missing the iliac crest, sacral articulation, and most of the pubis. It's also classified as Paranthropus crassidens. A cast was made by the Wenner-Gren Foundation Casting Program at the University Museum of the University of Pennsylvania. This fossil is part of the teaching collection of the Research Laboratories of Archaeology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, created by Madelaine Azar's model.
