Australian Spider Cavalry
cults3d
The Spiders of the old world's forest can range in size greatly; from merely the size of one's palm, to titanic behemoths that dwarf even elephants (see: Arachnarok Spiders) with their size. To that end, those forest spiders that grow to the size of horses are often used by Forest Goblins as mounts to ride into battle. These are captured when still small and raised until they are big enough to ride. As they are trained, these spiders become accustomed to Goblins and quickly learn to accept a rider. In battle, they act as light cavalry, striding silently through rough terrain with ease. They launch flanking attacks with either spear & shield in hand, or skirmishing at a distance with bows. Their stature as arachnids is not without it's benefits either, as the Spiders are capable of scaling walls and buildings, making them very effective raiders to boot. Included are 15 Spider Riders, 10 with Spear and Shield (Including a Chieftain), and 5 with Bows & Arrows. The .3mf file "Forest Goblin Spider-Riders" contains all the individual meshes for those who wish to arrange them differently.
