Kitbuilders familiar with the Aurora Spider-Man model know its shortcomings all too well. The original '60s kits (and subsequent reissues) come with two glaring problems. Firstly, Kraven's figure stands noticeably shorter than his web-slinging nemesis, a visual disparity that undermines the entire scene. Secondarily, Kraven's left hand appears minuscule and dainty when juxtaposed with his more substantial right counterpart. To address these inconsistencies, I took it upon myself to scan the original base of an Aurora Spider-man kit - complete with Kraven's figurine - at a larger scale to ensure better visual balance. The scanned images include not only the base but also Kraven's right shin (a piece that typically requires assembly via glue) and a more robust, proportionate left hand. From here, it's up to individual preference whether Kraven is printed in exact synchrony with Spidey's stature, augmented for an even larger effect, or even the entire base enlarged to resolve the scale imbalance found in the Polar Lights edition of this beloved kit. With detailed quality so high, a 3D resin printer is the recommended tool for achieving seamless results.
