Aurora A3 Carriage
thingiverse
This is a highly functional equivalent to the injection molded X-Axis Carriage mount on the Aurora A3 printer, enhanced with several improvements. It should accurately mount and function identically to the original part, ensuring seamless compatibility. I acquired this 3D Printer in early 2016, so models from that era or later may exhibit slight variations. I reinforced the back plate as well as mounting holes for the linear bearings, effectively eliminating any slop in the original design while making the entire structure significantly stronger. The parts are carefully designed with a .25mm tolerance, ensuring they fit together very snugly and may require some gentle sanding/filing on the corners to square them up perfectly. I strongly recommend printing this at a slower speed to improve accuracy and facilitate assembly. Additionally, Recat has an alternative variant of the same carriage available: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1148159 Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: JG Aurora A3 Prusa I3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm or .1mm Infill: 15% or more Notes: I highly recommend printing this at a slower speed to achieve good clean corners and screw holes. It's also suggested that infill be increased beyond 15% for added strength, with top/bottom sides of 1.2mm or more for optimal results.
