This inflatable system allows to lighten the mass of the current model of the starshade and to achieve within displacement and damping tolerances.It weighs about 315 kg and is compact enough to fit even smaller diameters than stipulated.Inflatables use an auxetic foam mesh, which is very light, protects against micrometeroids, increases stiffness and compensates for some mesh breakage.The rope system also allows to support very high loads, is radiation resistant and has a creep of almost 0%.Based mainly on basic principles such as a bridge or a mast. The system works in accelerations in both directions of the vertical axis.
