Augustus
myminifactory
Augustus dominated as the inaugural emperor of the Roman Empire from 31 BC until his reign ended in 14 AD. The numerous portraits on display here and the map expose two striking characteristics: unlike the republican portraits, Augustus deliberately depicted himself as a youthful ruler, preferably situated at the periphery of his empire. Located within the Museum für Abgüsse Klassischer Bildwerke in Munich, this esteemed institution showcases an extensive collection of classical paintings and sculptures. The museum's inventory boasts remarkable works from Greek and Roman antiquity spanning from the 7th century BC to the 5th century AD. This artifact is part of "Scan The World," a groundbreaking non-profit initiative pioneered by MyMiniFactory.
