Audyssey Microphone Adapter
thingiverse
The Audyssey calibration microphone used for Marantz and Denon AV receivers/processors is specifically designed to be mounted on a tripod. This adapter lets you mount it directly to a boom mic stand using a standard microphone clip. The base of the adapter matches exactly the size of the UMIK-1 microphone, making it a perfect fit if you already have that mic. To assemble this project, simply print out the part and add a 1 1/2 inch 1/4-20 bolt to secure everything in place. You can find suitable bolts at any hardware store, such as these: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-4-in-20-x-1-1-2-in-Phillips-Slotted-Round-Head-Machine-Screws-2-Pack-33261/202706441 https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-4-in-20-x-1-1-2-in-Combo-Truss-Head-Stainless-Steel-Machine-Screw-25-Pack-802732/204274517 Follow these easy steps to assemble your adapter: 1. First, print out the part. 2. Next, push a 1 1/2 inch 1/4-20 bolt through the bottom of the adapter until it stops, leaving some threads exposed in the mounting plate. 3. Then, thread the bolt into the Audyssey microphone. There are three STL files to choose from: one with the entire adapter as one piece and two others that let you print the post and base separately. The post simply snaps onto the base and stays in place when you screw it into the microphone.
