Audio Technica ATH-M50s Removable Cable Mod Housing
thingiverse
Small housing is created to hold the female 3.5mm jack, allowing my Audio Technica ATH-M50s' cable to be removable with ease. The housing is firmly secured to the headphones using superglue. I utilized audio jacks from Amazon, which can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C3RFHDC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Many similar options are available that should work well (mine had an outer diameter of 8mm and a length of 16mm from tip to end of the black part). This modification is made so I don't have to cut into my inner headphone housing to fit the jack, as shown in this instructable: https://www.instructables.com/id/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50s-removable-cable-mod/. I printed the housing using Amazon PETG at a layer height of 0.2mm. A lower layer height could be used for a more finished look.
