MADE AT THE SAN DIEGO INNOVATION LAB @ THE SAN DIEGO CENTRAL LIBRARY!!! The connector on Audio Technica ATH-M40X headphones tends to break quickly when used normally, leading to a situation where the speaker section may detach from its metal mount and suffer further damage. I encountered this issue twice with my headphones, so I designed and printed a replacement piece to get them working again. This custom part performs just as well as the original one and is significantly more durable. To assemble it, you will need to use one of the original screws to secure it to the metal bar and a zip tie to connect the front and back sections. It's essential not to use glue, as it might prevent the connector from rotating properly. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: .3mm Infill: 40% Notes: To achieve optimal results, rotate the print -90 degrees in the X direction before printing. This design works exceptionally well with PLA.
