This is a replacement hinge designed for Audio-Technica ATH-M40x headphones. This was a challenging project that required creating multiple prototypes before reaching this final version. **Key Compatibility Features** The new hinge is compatible with the stock pin/peg of the headphone, eliminating the need to cut any wires. **Rotating Speaker Component** The speaker part can be rotated fully. To prevent wire twisting, you can tighten the bolt/nut combination to secure it in place. **Alternative Peg/Swivel Solution** If your peg/swivel is also damaged, this hinge works seamlessly with a replacement: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2823187/ **Required Additional Materials** To assemble the new hinge, you'll need two M3 bolts and two M3 nuts per side, in addition to reusing one screw from the old hinge that attaches the inner piece to the metal plate. You can use 20mm M3x20mm bolts, but shorter ones may be substituted after the nuts are inserted into the hexagonal holes.
