Audio Spectrum Analyzer (VU Meter)
thingiverse
Music is essentially a signal with fluctuating voltage and frequency. An Audio Spectrum Analyzer measures the voltage level of a specific frequency, showing it on a device used primarily in recording studios to examine sound. Despite being an instrument, watching the dancing lights is enjoyable, providing a unique way to visualize music. A few years ago, I built a smaller version using two columns on a prototyping board, but it was messy due to excessive soldering. This time around, I aimed for neatness and visual appeal.
