Audio Cassette Winder
thingiverse
This is my first ever 3D design. Am open to constructive criticism I designed the manual winder from scratch myself with the exception of the “Crank Handle”. Credit must to to “adafruit” for her handle design. https://www.thingiverse.com/adafruit/designs The bottom frame needs to be printed with support. The 36 Tooth Spur gear needs to be printed (half round) pointing up and with support. The 12 tooth spur gear needs to be printed hex pointing down and with support. The Crank handle is printed complete in place and requires support “only” under the half round section. Support is not needed for Top frame, securing handle and spigot. Assembly. This winder uses close tolerances Place the 12 tooth spur gear in the bottom frame before inserting the Spigot, once inserted the spigot cannot be removed. The rest of the assembly is straight forward. The two frames need to be glued together with superglue. I have not yet mastered latches or clips. The crank handle can be glued into the 36 tooth gear after assembly but its not necessary. The support handle is not actually necessary for the winder to work, it just keeps the whole winder in place when in use. UPDATE:- V2 files the top and base now just clip together glue no longer required
