Audio Alert version 2
thingiverse
This Audio Alert module sits between an audio source and a consumer like a car's FM transmitter or amplifier. When it receives a coded message wirelessly, it interrupts the audio stream from its source and plays the mp3 sound clip tied to that message. Check out the original Audio Alert description for more: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2754869 This new model uses different parts and is built around a finished Surface Mount Device (SMD) Printed Circuit Board (PCB). This second version of the Audio Alert project was designed initially to work with the second edition of the Dust Collector Full board, which relies on the same transceiver (See https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2657033). I decided to make this design somewhat expandable. All unused MCU pins have been brought out to the edge of the board for future use, along with a dedicated I2C connector to enable a potential display and/or keyboard, etc. The sound quality on this board is better than its predecessor's. The original board uses a generic analog switch rather than an actual audio switch like the one used in this new design.
