The Audi TT is a high-performance two-door sports car produced by Audi and comes in both coupe and convertible models; it's currently in its third generation. Initially, this sleek car was assembled at Audi's Hungarian subsidiary in Györ, utilizing bodies manufactured at Ingolstadt and Hungarian-made parts. In contrast, the current third-generation model relies solely on Hungary's factory production. Each of the three generations features successive versions of the Volkswagen Group A platform; starting with PQ34 (A4) - this shared architecture has given Audi TT its identical powertrain and suspension to that of its VW partners: a front-engine setup paired with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (quattro), complemented by an independent MacPherson suspension system. The TT badge stands for Tourist Trophy, a name rooted in the traditional Isle of Man motorcycle racing series. During Audi's 2019 annual conference, CEO Abraham Schot declared the company plans to reevaluate the model and consider shifting it towards electrification.
