The Audi Space Frame forms the basis of the R8, using a monocoque built from aluminium to reduce weight and enhance safety. Production takes place in Neckarsulm, Germany, at an upgraded factory situated near Audi's 'aluminium site.' It's also notable for being the first mass-produced car with full-LED headlamps.
