<p>I lost one of my base carrier bar caps in a carwash. Having had these carrier bars for a while and having several near losses already I knew a new OEM cap would likely get ripped off again so why not design a better solution.</p><p>I recommend printing these in PETG or ABS with 3 perimeters at 0.2mm layer height, no support is needed.</p><p>Installation is pretty straightforward, you must first remove the OEM cap and its retaining strap. After that the new cap just snaps in place. My cap does not overhang the bars like the OEM cap so your rubber strip will be too short, this should not be an issue as water can still drain out of the bars like the originals.</p>
