As replacement costs for OEM parts are extremely high, and new components can be prone to the same failure issues, a cost-effective solution is required for broken Boot cover locks on AUDI Q3 vehicles. The STL file provided is designed for the left side of the vehicle; therefore, it must be mirrored in order to create an accurate right-hand side component. Initial layer height should be set at 0.2 mm to ensure optimal print quality. A scale factor of 101.5% will need to be applied to achieve accurate dimensions. To provide added structural integrity, three outer walls are recommended. The top and bottom layers should consist of eight passes at a thickness of 0.8 mm. Infill type should be set to Cubic for maximum strength and durability. Printing settings include an extruder temperature of 232 'C, a heated bed temperature of 93 'C, and a print speed of 40 mm/s. Retraction distance should be set at 6.5mm with a retraction speed of 25mm/s to prevent blobbing and oozing.
