The Audi A4 B6's quick connector frequently cracks, causing a slow coolant leak that most drivers compensate for by topping off the fluid. These connectors often snap, severing the connection between the heater hose and the coolant flange. This plug fits snugly into the broken connector from the flange side, containing the coolant until replacement parts arrive in the mail. Its tapered design ensures a tight fit. To give the printed part sufficient strength to seal the connector, it must be annealed at 70C or 170F for one hour, then allowed to cool without removal. The annealing process often causes shrinkage, requiring the print to be scaled up 105% to compensate. When plugging in the connector, insulate the print with a 20mm washer cut from an old inner tube and a silver foil washer placed between the print and the flange.
