My Audi A3 8L (facelift) came with a compromised cupholder that was only halfway functional. Fortunately, I had a friend who owned a cupholder in pristine condition, which allowed me to replicate the necessary parts and sidestep the exorbitant cost of purchasing one on eBay for over £80. If you ever find yourself facing a similar situation, take advantage of this DIY solution! I removed an unnecessary component from the original design, discovering that it served no purpose whatsoever.
