ATX PSU mount
thingiverse
Just a mount for an ATX PSU for my Prusa i3 (Hesine) printer. But before you read further, check out "Power and Controller mounting for Makerfarm Prusa i3" by moczys at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:620172. I caught sight of it just as I was about to publish this one, and I have to say it's a much nicer and more elegant design. If I had seen it earlier, I would have adapted it to fit my needs perfectly. The PSU is a BeQuiet Power 7 300W model, but the mount should work with other PSUs of similar measurements: 86 x 150 x 140mm. Be sure to check the ventilation openings too - they're pretty important! This design should also work for other printers, but the holes are specifically spaced for my Prusa i3 Hesine's existing mounting points. I made the holes a bit bigger than necessary so that 3mm bolts can fit with a bit of wiggle room. Some washers might come in handy too. Those little supports under the bottom plate are there to hold tie-wraps or similar items in place. Don't forget to remove those thin stiles from the bottom holes after printing is complete. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa i3 Hesine Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 40 Notes: I didn't use Slic3r's support function, but instead included some thin stiles to support the holes in the bottom plate - they should be removed afterwards. This print took a while to finish, and if I'm being honest, I would have opted for 0.3 resolution if it weren't for my current struggles with getting the filament just right. The result was still pretty subpar anyway.
