ATX PSU 2020 Mount with Spacer (Customizable)
thingiverse
I had to find a 2020 ATX power supply mount for my Tronxy X5, but none of them fit in the position I wanted. Since I needed it on the back, I also required an additional 10mm spacer so the power supply wouldn't collide with the Z axis bed frame. The back was chosen because I already have spool holders mounted on top, and putting it below would only increase the footprint. Here are my spool holder setups: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2504710, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2503185, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3362785. This design is in three parts - a big bottom mount and an upper mount that are both required, while the third one acts as a bumper. Since there aren't fixed holes on any other side of the frame, the power supply would vibrate due to printer movement, causing it to flex. The bumper stops this by holding the cables or case against the frame with a cable tie. I could have designed a bigger part that pulls the power supply towards the frame, but using a small bumper and cable tie does the job effectively without wasting material. All three parts have an offset of 10mm from the 2020 frame. You can adjust this value in the spreadsheet to get different sizes. Note: Images were taken with V1, while this is V2 of the objects. The bumper looks different than the original part shown in the photo. As always, the FreeCAD source file is included. Happy printing!
