ATX Power Supply Mount With Switch Mount
thingiverse
I grabbed a sweet ATX power supply for my 8" Prusa i3v but it looked wasted just sitting on the workbench, so I came up with the idea to make a mount for it after planning some major modifications to get rid of unnecessary cables from the power supply. I created a switch bracket to go along with it that replaces the OEM spool holder, and here are all the FreeCAD files so you can edit as needed to fit your project's requirements. I used a 4-position barrier strip for the power wires and designed it so you can easily make a cover later on if needed. For extra protection, I installed M3 inserts in two of the mounting holes where the cover will be secured using the same M3 inserts. Instructions: To install the power supply mount, you'll only need to use M3 hardware; the corners have simple tapped M3 screws for non-load-bearing purposes. Since the switch bracket is much smaller than the power supply mount, I opted for M2 hardware instead. To securely fasten everything in place, drill new holes into your printer's wooden frame and secure it using nylon lock nuts on M3x16mm bolts - all the mounting options are clearly explained above
