ATX Bench Power Breakout Enclosure
prusaprinters

This is an enclosure for a bench power supply utilizing an ATX power supply from a PC as its power source, based on the project here. The basic idea is you build this box, then connect a spare ATX power supply to it, and voila, you have flexible bench power connections, with the ability to switch out the power supply and without having to modify the power supply itself. Pretty snazzy.

The enclosure is designed for the following parts:

Binding Posts

Switch

USB Adapter

Cigarette Lighter Socket

ATX Cable

although you can probably find alternates that will fit.

Instructions

This printed OK on my Printrbot Simple Metal, and assembles with short self-tapping screws.

NOTE: Make sure to print with overhang supports turned on! My first attempt on the base failed because I had it turned off, and the hole for the ATX plug got all messed up.
Category: Electronics
