Attractive and Repulsive Magnet Ring

This is a multi-magnet toy that showcases some fascinating properties you can achieve by combining multiple magnets. It will initially attract a magnet before suddenly repelling it when they get too close. Conversely, it will repel a magnet until the two are extremely close, at which point they will stick together. I'm utilizing a 1/2"x 1/16" magnet for the center and 1/8" x 1/16" magnets for the ring. You can easily customize this model to suit different sizes or numbers of ring magnets. If the two magnets consistently stick together, I would suggest increasing the number of small magnets in the ring until the second magnet remains suspended at least a few millimeters away. Alternatively, if you have access to finer resolution printing, you could experiment with altering the wall thickness. I opted for ABS material because it allows for cold press fitting of the magnets, but this toy would likely work just as well with PLA or other suitable materials.
