ATTiny85 programming adaptor
youmagine
This adapter fits snugly over an 8-pin DIP and securely holds wires in place so you can easily program your ATTiny85 without having to unplug it from your circuit. The hassle of constantly disconnecting (or even unsoldering) the chip each time you update the code is a major frustration, and risks damaging the microchip entirely. Simply print out the adapter, then carefully insert stripped wires into the holes and bend them back around the outside for secure connections. Once everything is in place, apply glue to prevent any bare wire ends from making contact with each other. For added convenience, consider color-coding the wires and labeling them clearly (Vcc, Gnd, Reset, MISO, MOSI, Clock). Keep in mind that you'll still need a dedicated chip-programmer (such as Adafruit's USB-Tiny or a modified Arduino) to actually upload your code to the ATTiny85. This adapter is designed specifically to bridge the gap between the programmer and the microchip itself.
