Attachable ear-saver
thingiverse
I've tested several other ear saver models, but they all fell short due to a major flaw: when you remove the mask and put it in your pocket, you're left with two separate parts. Furthermore, attaching it was not as seamless as I would have liked. Here's my proposal for an improved design, and I'm open to suggestions for enhancement. With my Ender-3 printer, producing an ear saver at high resolution takes around 30 minutes. I've created two versions: one with a thicker "main strip" (1.4 mm) and the standard version with 1.2 mm. This trade-off between flexibility and durability seems sufficient, as I find that the stronger version has ample flexibility. To speed up printing, I discovered that reducing the number of wall lines from three to five significantly cuts print time in half. Enjoy experimenting with this design!
