ATOTO A6PF Head Unit Toyota / Scion Faceplate Trim with Optional USB-C Port

I designed this faceplate trim for my Scion tC2, but it should work with other Scions and Toyotas. I found the A6PF body was too tall to fit through the opening in my console and the supplied trim base was too thick that it pushed the console trim out too far. This new trim will not only fill the gap above and below the head unit, but also the ½" gaps on each side since the standard head unit width is 7" while the factory opening width is 8". I've also included an alternate faceplate trim that adds a USB-C port on the left side. This way, you can connect the external storage USB input to the factory location and the phone link USB input to a USB-C adapter installed in the trim. One is the basic faceplate trim while the other includes an opening for a USB port. See the Parts section below for the USB-C adapter that works with it. Installation Notes ----------------- • Use the supplied bolts that came with the A6PF to mount the faceplate trim to the side of the head unit. I made the mounting holes thick enough to account for their long length. • If using the USB-C faceplate trim, push the the USB-C adapter in from the back until it's flush with the front. It should be a snug fit. The bracket sits over the faceplate trim mounting holes.
