The Atomium is a iconic landmark in Brussels, Belgium, originally built for the 1958 World's Fair (Expo 58). Located on the Heysel Plateau in Laeken, where the exhibition took place, it now serves as a museum.[1] Engineers André Waterkeyn and architects André Polak, Jean Polak designed this monumental structure, which stands an impressive 102 metres tall. The nine large stainless steel spheres, each with a diameter of 18 meters (59 feet), are arranged in the shape of an iron crystal, magnified to an astonishing 165 billion times its actual size. Connecting tubes allow visitors to access the five habitable spheres via stairs, escalators, and an elevator in the central tube, offering stunning views and public spaces within each sphere. At the top, a restaurant features a panoramic view of Brussels that is truly unforgettable. The Atomium underwent a complete renovation between 2004 and 2006 by companies Jacques Delens and BESIX. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atomium
