Atomic Spin Top and Reactor Core Spin Station
thingiverse
Here's a new Atomic Spin Top that can be combined with different Reactor Core spin stations to create a double level, twin spinning experience. Check out the video to see the various combinations in action - https://youtu.be/7PrjdsfY3fw. The tops use a 1/4-inch steel ball bearing as the tip, while the spin stations employ double concave, 75 mm diameter, 500 mm focal length glass lenses available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016P83OBW. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: Solid for top; 20% for spin stations Notes: For the spin top, I used "bottom solid layers" throughout the print to achieve 100% infill without relying on the infill design, which had previously jammed my printer. This approach also helps maintain a flatter bottom surface with a raft, resulting in longer spin times. For the spin station, I opted for 20% infill and no raft. Design Process: I designed this project using Fusion 360.
